The event sector distinguishes itself by a high innovation potential and a great drive in general economic conditions as well as in technical and organizational procedures. Human Resource Development innovation is sent an urgent reminder, particularly by the sector itself. Diakrisi, which disposes together with its national and international cooperation partners of differentiated knowledge and experience, has been involved and developed the Matrix project with other partners under the coordination of Siemens Media Academy Berlin. The Matrix takes up the existing qualitative assured and effective personnel development knowledge of the Siemens Media Academy in training and further education. Target groups are artistic, technical, organizational oriented companies and service providers in the media and event sector, the exhibition and convention business as well as employees and freelancers of these companies. Based on the premise of lifelong learning a module system is being developed for all named qualification profiles. The modules are interlinked and can be taught in an individually adjustable period. Beginners, advanced and professionals are able to create their own individual qualification package within the offered fields: Technology, Organization and Management, Creation and Soft skills; which can lead up to the Europe-wide recognized Bachelor degree. Admission and qualification criteria’s for lateral hire will be created in this model, too. This model should establish a new occupational image on an European standard beyond the development of ECTS and the comparability of educational standards. The model could considerably support the mobility of employees and economic stability of the sector within Europe. Essential Matrix parameters:
